Gaming's Greatest Road Trips

I went on a road trip recently, that's where the photo is from. It was excellent, I'd thoroughly recommend it. What it made clear to me, though, was that up until I finally got my act together and did the deed, I'd been living out my road trip fantasies not just through films and books, but also in video games. From a young age I'd loved games that implied that you were racing for miles and miles across countries and continents.

Taking a quick look around, they don't really seem to exist any more, which is a shame. So in tribute to their brilliance, I've compiled this extremely self-indulgent video that rattles through my personal favourite road trip videogames. What were you expecting? Some kind of scientific methodology? Beat it, kid.
