If Assassin's Creed has been treading water since the second game, Assassin's Creed III is a sequel that, to extend the metaphor, hires a pedalo and strikes out across the Atlantic. In Revolutionary America, it finds new assassin hero Connor stabbing Templars in a giant sandbox of irresistible distractions.
