Xbox 720 Specs Leaked
A vgleaks.com source has revealed the supposed full specs of the next-gen Xbox and it all adds up, says eurogamer.net, the data tallying with what was already known about the upcoming Microsoft console codenamed Durango.
The details from the unnamed source seem genuine, says the specs breakdown by Eurogamer (Outside Xbox is a Eurogamer Network site, by way of full disclosure). The specifications include the expected eight-core AMD central processor running at 1.6GHz, coupled to 8GB of DDR3 memory and with 32MB of fast embedded SRAM hooked into the graphics processor.
If genuine, the leaked specs also confirm the gulf in power between Durango's graphics core and that of Orbis, the purported next-gen PlayStation, with 1.24 Durango teraflops to Orbis' purported 1.84 teraflops. Then there are the intriguing suggestions of a media-friendly new HDMI in port and a dedicated Kinect input, implying Kinect will stay separate from the console proper into the next generation.
