Let's Play: Terraria Xbox 360 Split Screen Co-op

Earthy charm

It's fair to say that one of the most anticipated features of the Xbox 360 version of Terraria is split-screen cooperative play. If you remember our previous misadventures in this Minecraft-esque 2D game, you'll know that we're prone to drowning, being eaten and falling to our doom. So will co-op increase our average lifespan? Are two heads better than one, or is that just an extra head to be dashed against some rocks? Find out here.

We came away impressed by split screen mode. Terraria's pixel art visuals and ickle avatars mean each player gets acres of space. Nothing feels cramped, something that's extremely important if you're trying to join forces and build a scale model of the Taj Mahal. If you're keen to give it a whirl for yourself, keep an eye out on Xbox Live Arcade around the end of March.
