Things Get Stranger in Red Dead Redemption

Stranger things

This week in our ongoing Red Dead Redemption replay, we take a break from the main storyline to do some "Stranger" side missions. If anyone asks, that's how we ended up blackmailing a politician with sexy photos, kicking an old guy off his land, and chatting to a possible ghost bride about her definitely still alive husband.

On discovering I lost my Red Dead Redemption saves, we resolved to reclaim my 100 percent complete status by replaying my favourite game of the last generation - whetting our appetite for Red Dead Redemption 2, which is coming out in Spring 2018, into the bargain.

Stranger missions are Red Dead Redemption's story-based side missions. The name comes from how in them you run across a stranger in need of help, and offer said stranger assistance in whatever way you can.

They are also generally a lot stranger than the actual missions in the game, so it's also possible that's where the name comes from.
