We Blow Up Cows, Fish in New Far Cry 5 Gameplay

Quit plane games

Hope County, Montana is the setting for Far Cry 5, and seems like a lovely place. There's beautiful scenery, plentiful fishing, and wide open skies, perfect for flying planes around in. The main drawback is the violent doomsday cult members who keep trying to kill you, as you shall see in this Far Cry 5 gameplay.

This demo of Far Cry 5 plonks us down in Fall's End: a small town that needs "liberating", where "liberating" means blowing half of it up. We are aided in this task by our chosen sidekick Nick Rye, a pilot who has a seaplane full of bombs and a snappy line in trucker hats.

We also do some fishing, which is new to Far Cry 5, and try flying Nick's plane ourselves, getting our dogfight on against the airborne division of the Eden's Gate cult. They put up significantly more resistance than the herd of cows we had Nick strafe earlier.

Far Cry 5 comes out on release date February 27 2018 on PC, Xbox One and PS4. The Far Cry 5 gameplay footage above was captured on the PS4 version of the game supplied by publisher Ubisoft. Previously on Outside Xbox: 7 Things You Need to Know About Far Cry 5.
