The 5 Scariest Things in The Evil Within 2 So Far
Mind over splatter
Back in 2014, The Evil Within did a good job of fuelling our nightmares for the next three years, but just recently we've been having some pretty restful dreams in which nothing chased us down a corridor with industrial implements. Luckily, The Evil Within 2 is on the way and, judging from what we've seen, it's going to sort that right out. We've played it, and here are the five scariest things we've seen so far.
Ruvik, the twisted villain of the first Evil Within is nowhere to be found in what we've seen of The Evil Within 2 so far, but don't worry, it looks like we've got a new supernatural antagonist who will be chasing us around the game's many horrible concrete corridors.
This villain is a photographer called Stefano Valentini. He was a serial killer in real life, before fleeing into The Evil Within's immersive mind-linking simulation known as STEM to evade the authorities.
Now inside STEM, Valentini has the kind of powers to manipulate reality that Freddy Krueger would give his right clawed glove for.
It's thanks to him that we have the other entries in this list, including a screaming multifaced woman with a buzzsaw for a hand, a terrifying ghost lady, and a room for of hanged people covered in sheets.
Couldn't he just stick to inspirational quotes and pictures of food? That stuff kills on Instagram.
The Evil Within 2 comes out on release date 13 October 2017 on Xbox One, PS4 and PC. Previously on Outside Xbox: 5 Questions The Evil Within Leaves Unanswered
