7 Things You Can Do That Aren't Basketball in NBA 2K18
NBA 2K18 is out very soon, bringing fans the most up-to-date, realistic depiction of the sport known around the world as 'basket-ball'. But though the basketball is a given in a basketball game, this year's game has expanded the amount of stuff you can do off the court in its new Neighborhood mode, which is like Playstation Home but if everyone was super into basketball. With that in mind, here are seven things things you can do in NBA 2K18 that aren't play basketball.
If you're looking to get all the lucrative footwear sponsorships and host the ESPY awards, for instance, then you need to stand out from the crowd, and if you can't do that through basketball ability, then you need to do it with a crazy haircut.
Luckily, The Neighborhood comes complete with a barber shop that can give you any crazy do you set your heart on, as well as somehow shave a beard straight onto your face.
If you'd rather do something tangentially connected to basketball, you can head to the arcade area known as the 2K Zone, where you can take part in basketball trivia quizzes, pick 'em, and blacktop.
These mini games are a good way to quickly earn some of the game's currency, known as VC, as well as to discover just how much or how little you know about basketball.
In related news, my favourite piece of basketball trivia is that originally the nets were fruit baskets and every time a point was scored, someone had to go fetch a ladder, climb up and retrieve the ball. No word on if this is an optional feature in NBA 2K18.
NBA 2K18 is out on release date 19 September 2017 on Xbox One, PS4, Xbox 360, PS3, Nintendo Switch and PC. Previously on Outside Xbox: 7 Times Basketball Wasn't Weird Enough for Videogames
