History experts agree there was less cool stuff to do in the past on account of how skateboards hadn't been invented, and yet even though Assassin's Creed Origins is set farther into the past than any Assassin's Creed game so far, there's as much cool stuff to do as there is sand in everyone's shoes. We've been playing in a sizeable chunk of the game's open world and are here to report back on the six coolest things we've done so far.
Here's Middle-earth: Shadow of War gameplay taken from the Shadow of War Xbox One X enhanced version. In it, Mike and Andy ride a tree, attack a citadel, rescue some dudes from Gondor and meet Idril, a Gondor shieldmaiden.
After a hearty meal of glazed meats, Luke and I venture out to hunt monsters in Monster Hunter World, the first game in the popular series to arrive on Xbox. Stick around as we track and fight the iguana-like Great Jagras and formidable brute wyvern the Anjanath in this Monster Hunter World gameplay.
Here's Marvel vs Capcom Infinite Gameplay in which Andy and Luke take new fighters Gamora, Jedah, Captain Marvel and Ultron for a test drive on levels New Metro City Downtown and Xgard Bifrost Bridge. Behold!
I discover a horrifying new fave in this Call of Duty WW2 multiplayer gameplay, set on new multiplayer map Gibraltar: a Winchester 1897 trench gun loaded with incendiary shells, for a 'Dragon's Breath' flamethrower shotgun effect as harrowing as it is spectacular.
After playing some of the campaign mode of Ubisoft's Deadliest Warrior-style fantasy battle game For Honor at E3, we were keen to try the game's multiplayer. If you're similarly intrigued, join Mike and I as we talk through a match of the game's 4 v 4 Dominion mode.
Point your face at new Titanfall 2 multiplayer gameplay and discover what's new in Titanfall 2 multiplayer, such as new Titans Scorch, Ion and Ronin, the pilots' powerful new grapple ability, a miniature black hole grenade (the gravity star) and such. With launch set for 2016, Final Fantasy 15 is a way off yet, but there's no stopping the makers of the game teasing us with snippets of story, like this most recent foreshadowy trailer. So what's going on in the trailer? Why all the hugging? Who's this dog? We asked director Hajime Tabata.

Here's fresh new gameplay from the upcoming Divinity Original Sin: Enhanced Edition. It's a new and improved version of the game that first brought its classic RPG experience to PC in 2014. Inspect new and notable items, including local splitscreen co-op, in the following video.
Resident Evil publisher Capcom will soon release an HD remaster of Resident Evil prequel Resident Evil 0, as I specifically requested back in February. In it, you play rookie S.T.A.R.S. medic Rebecca Chambers trapped on a luxury train with hordes of zombies, a gross leech monster and an escaped murderer with sexy bad boy tattoos. We take on the game's opening chapter in this HD gameplay.

The Escapists The Walking Dead mashes up the original The Walking Dead comics and the pixel art sandbox action of The Escapists. See us flee the zombie-filled Harrison Memorial Hospital in this Xbox One gameplay.
See us play the Oculus Rift VR version of Vaas' memorable speech about the definition of insanity in Far Cry 3 in this VR tech demo from Far Cry publisher Ubisoft at Gamescom 2015. If we sit mostly still it's because we're paralysed with terror.
We played Call of Duty: Black Ops 3 multiplayer against the Call of Duty YouTuber elite here at Gamescom 2015, with consequences that are as predictable as they are occasionally hilarious. Take a watch of this new Black Ops 3 gameplay and judge us harshly.
If you thought Homefront 2 had quietly crawled into a ditch to die, let this Xbox One gameplay disabuse you of that notion. Homefront: The Revolution, as it is officially titled, is still coming and not only that, it's a lot of fun, even in this very early state. Imagine Far Cry, but set in war-ravaged, enemy-occupied Philadelphia.

The forgettable name might not do it any favours, but first-person hack and slasher Hellraid deserves your attention. Discover why (viciously smashy melee combat, the Sean Bean-alike voice of protagonist Ayden) in this new gameplay.
