Cities Skylines is launching soon on Xbox One, and we've always fancied ourselves as the benevolent if easily distracted mayor of a great city. Watch us fire up the city sim that's not sim city in this Cities Skylines: Xbox One Edition gameplay, in which we establish the overfunded, underwatered beachside utopia of Oxboxford.
We've been at this Pathfinder business in the company of Jerk Ryder for only a couple of hours and we've already forgotten our prime directive. Instead we decide to celebrate the founding of a colony on Eos by making a beeline to the nearest nightclub. Naturally things can only go downhill from there and given that there's no such thing as 'downhill' in space, that's saying something.
Hitman's Contracts mode is a list of player-generated targets where you can take on challenges set by other players. In this particular contract, our challenge is to kill a guy complaining about a broken shower in the basement of Thailand's Himmapan Hotel, in a fall. Hit the jump to see how we got on.
Jane and I venture back to the space station Talos 1 for more Prey gameplay. This time, we're in the Psychotronics lab, a place so full of shapeshifting mimics that the lab staff have to put post-it notes on everything with 'not a mimic' written on them. But what if a mimic turned into a post-it note, lab assistants? What then?
Watch as Jerk Ryder completes a sexy lap of the ship, attempting to romance anything that isn't properly secured to the hull. Will his trademark neon pink jacket help his chances of getting his space rocks off? Find out this and more in another thrilling episode.
In this latest episode of us replaying Red Dead Redemption, we help out snake oil salesman Nigel West Dickens, much to Mike's total lack of delight. West Dickens wants us to help him sell snake oil by drinking some, and then performing amazing feats of cowboymanship to impress a crowd of potential customers. Luckily for him, amazing cowboying is our stock in trade.
The Town of Light is a first person psychological adventure game set in an asylum in Italy in the first part of the Twentieth Century. Playing as Renee, a former patient, Mike, along with Luke and Ellen from Outside Xtra, head back to the asylum to solve the mysteries of her past. Or, they will, as soon as they stop playing on the equipment in the nearby playground.
Barely qualified human Pathfinder Scott Ryder gets his first true test of combat prowess in this Mass Effect Andromeda gameplay as we venture into the first Remnant vault in search of alien atmospheric processing technology. What we find is lots of things that need shooting in their robot faces.
In this latest episode of us replaying Red Dead Redemption, we return to the task of becoming a Legend of the Old West, a feat that can only be achieved by knife fighting a bunch of wolves, collecting red sage, and shooting a bunch of birds from a moving train. Try explaining that one to the conductor.
Sexy Brutale is an intricate puzzler in which you must prevent the many simultaneous murders taking place in a single day at luxe casino mansion the Sexy Brutale, where the masked staff are offing the masked guests. In the following gameplay footage our only hope at figuring out this swanky murderhouse and saving would-be victims is a magic pocket watch that resets time, so wish us luck.
Thimbleweed Park is a point and click adventure from the creators of Maniac Mansion, and it feels like a lost gaming relic from the year 1987. Expect weird puzzles, wacky characters and references galore as Jane and I get to grips with the game's demo in this Thimbleweed Park Xbox One gameplay.
Jerk Ryder returns for episode 3 of Mike and Andy's Mass Effect Andromeda gameplay, in which the noob Pathfinder lands on Eos, acquires the Nomad planetary rover, meets Asari livewire Peebee, Krogan grouch Drack, and then plunges blindly into a Remnant Vault. There had better be a path down there, is all I'm saying.
In this latest episode of us replaying Red Dead Redemption, we return to the main story missions to do some cowboying over at the MacFarlane ranch, much to Mike's dismay. He can't see why herding a load of cows helps us bring in Bill Williamson, but it's not for us or John Marston to question the mysterious path to Redemption in the Old West.
Snake Pass is a physics-driven platformer in which you play a snake called Noodle, snaking around poles and onto platforms with the help of a hummingbird buddy called Doodle. Noodle is so adorable and, in our hands, hilariously inept at being a snake that we can barely deal.
Get Even is difficult to describe. You play as a gruff Sean Bean soundalike who wakes up in an abandoned asylum, with mysterious texts telling him to save a girl. What follows is a mind-melting combo of detective work, time travel and mysterious VR headsets. Watch Luke from Outside Xtra and I try to fathom just what on earth is going on in this Get Even gameplay.
The adventures of Jerk Ryder continue as the newest Pathfinder on the block gets handed the keys to a state of the art spaceship after about 30 minutes on the job. He also establishes an eye-boilingly garish brand new Pathfinder uniform.
In this latest episode of us replaying Red Dead Redemption, we abandon the main story for a while to pursue John Marston's self-imposed hunting, sharpshooting and survivalist challenges. Ever see a man deadeye a fleeing buck, or knife fight a pack of wolves? You will if you watch this video.
Scott Ryder of Mass Effect Andromeda isn't just humanity's best hope in a new galaxy. As you'll find in this gameplay from the first hour of Mass Effect Andromeda, he's also a part-time space jerk. Beware a few story spoilers, albeit from very early in the game.
After Andy lost his Red Dead Redemption save, we resolved to reclaim his 100 percent complete status by replaying one of our favourite games of the last generation. In this second episode of Red Dead Redemption gameplay, we go treasure hunting, cannibal tracking and lawbringing to rescue John Marston's wife and son, somehow.
Resident Evil 7's Daughters DLC gives us a glimpse into the Baker family's life before they turned into immortal, centipede-vomiting monsters. Sadly, it's not long before Evie shows up at the house and things go from zero to monstery super fast. Join us on this magical journey in this Resident Evil 7 DLC gameplay.
Due to a hard drive failure, my Red Dead Redemption save is gone forever. No, do not cry for me, even though it was a 100 percent complete save with the Bureau Uniform unlocked and everything, because it means I get to play it all again in anticipation of Red Dead Redemption 2. This time I've got Jane and Mike to keep me company through my adventures in New Austin.
Hitman's latest Elusive Target mission takes place in the fancy hospital at Hokkaido, Japan and designates two targets: the surgeons Pavel Frydel and Akane Akenawa, who the client has requested be killed by viral infection. Who will whack them successfully? Who will panic and be gunned down in the corridor? Watch and find out, why not.
Resident Evil 7's first two batches of Banned Footage DLC have dropped on Xbox One, and we attempt the restful-sounding Bedroom VHS tape in this video. Sadly, said bedroom is in the Baker house, and therefore full of horrible people vomiting centipedes onto your face. See for yourself how Mike and I handled the horror in this Resident Evil 7 DLC gameplay.
Her Majesty's SPIFFING is in many ways the most British game on the planet. The Queen appears within the first five seconds, for pity's sake. In this Xbox One gameplay we join Captain Frank Lee English and his trusty if unhelpful sidekick Aled Jones, then Brexit off the planet altogether and venture into space in our Mini spaceship.
Hitman's 20th elusive target is Adeze Oijofor, a West African warlord currently staying at the Himmapan hotel in Bangkok. In addition to knocking off the warlord, we also need to retrieve maps and digital files located on a USB stick in a safe somewhere in the hotel. Is Mike up to the stealth challenge? The answer may surprise you!
