We Hunt a Mammoth, Escape a Tiger and Meet an Ear Collector in Far Cry Primal Story Gameplay

Ear we go

Join us for the first moments of Far Cry Primal's story campaign as we hunt the wily mammoth through the plains of Oros, get jumped by a punk saber-toothed tiger, and then meet a fellow member of our cave-dwelling tribe who has developed a worrying obsession with collecting ears in this Far Cry Primal story gameplay.

Along the way we'll be searching for raw animal meat to eat, crafting weapons from rocks and sticks, harnessing fire to keep wild animals at bay and generally doing everything it takes to win you an Oscar these days, right Leo?

Finally, we catch up with Sayla, another member of our tribe the Wenja, who needs our help in restoring the Wenja's rightful position in prehistoric society. Her plan for doing this involves cutting off the ears of rival tribe members, so possibly needs a little finesse, but hey, that's what we're here for.

The Far Cry Primal gameplay in the video above was captured on the PS4 version of Far Cry Primal supplied by the game publisher. Far Cry Primal comes out on 23 February 2016 on Xbox One and PS4, and on 1 March 2016 on PC.

Previously on Outside Xbox: We Tame a Saber-Toothed Tiger in Far Cry Primal.
