Let's Replay Red Dead Redemption Episode 3 - Hunting! Shooting! Flowers.

The buck stops here

In this latest episode of us replaying Red Dead Redemption, we abandon the main story for a while to pursue John Marston's self-imposed hunting, sharpshooting and survivalist challenges. Ever see a man deadeye a fleeing buck, or knife fight a pack of wolves? You will if you watch this video.

After I lost my Red Dead Redemption saves, we resolved to reclaim my 100 percent complete status by replaying my favourite game of the last generation, whetting our appetite for Red Dead Redemption 2, which is coming out on an unspecified release date in 2017, into the bargain.

This week, we start on our path to becoming a legend of the Old West, a feat that can only be achieved by completing all of the game's ambient challenges in the fields of hunting, sharpshooting, survivalism and treasure hunting.

No one actually sets John Marston these challenges, which leads us to conclude that he invented all these arbitrary tasks for himself. Which raises the question why he would mentally challenge himself to knife fight a bunch of wolves. Hey. It was a different time.

We are still accepting name suggestions for John Marston's horse, so pop your favoured horse names in the comments, please and thank you.
