Thimbleweed Park is a Shot of Pure Nostalgia, See Us Play It

Plus a side order of sweary clowns

Thimbleweed Park is a point and click adventure from the creators of Maniac Mansion, and it feels like a lost gaming relic from the year 1987. Expect weird puzzles, wacky characters and references galore as Jane and I get to grips with the game's demo in this Thimbleweed Park Xbox One gameplay.

Though Thimbleweed Park is super retro in its visuals, some concessions have been made for modern gamers, including full voice performances for the characters and the ability to cycle between hotspots on screen with the push of a button.

The game is packed with references to classic Lucasarts adventure games, however. Maniac Mansion characters show up throughout, and the infamous chainsaw from Maniac Mansion and Zak McKracken also has a cameo. We're just waiting for someone to tell us they're selling these fine leather jackets, and the set will be complete.

Thimbleweed Park comes out on release date 30 March 2017 on Xbox One, PC, Mac and Linux, with iOS, Android and PS4 versions to follow.
