It's Time to Knife Some Cougars in Red Dead Redemption

Lion in wait

Today in our adventures in Red Dead Redemption, we aim to become master hunters by knifing two cougars to death with our melee knife, then collecting their pelts. You'd think a master hunter would shoot them from a distance rather than get within slashing range of their terrible claws, but here we are. If we die, Horson gets all our stuff.

On discovering I lost my Red Dead Redemption saves, we resolved to reclaim my 100 percent complete status by replaying my favourite game of the last generation - whetting our appetite for Red Dead Redemption 2, which is coming out in Spring 2018, into the bargain.

The problem with cougars, is that they sneak up on you, knock you down, and then kill you with a second blow while you're rolling around on your back going "argh, cougars".

To counteract this, we develop a new hunting strategy which we call the "Drink Medicine and Then Deadeye Them in the Leg, Before Stabbing Them as They Try to Run Away" technique. I hope the Legend of the West committee isn't watching.
