Show of the Week: Assassin's Creed Origins and 5 Cats You Should Worship If You're an Ancient Egyptian
More than a feline
In this modern age of swegways and freakshakes, cats will have to work harder to get the same attention they got back in the good old days of Ancient Egypt. Lucky for them, though, there are plenty of of excellent cats in videogames that deserve fanatical devotion way more than the regular old felines that Bayek can't stop smoothing in Assassin's Creed Origins.
Take the feline mascot of The Evil Within series, for instance: a black kitty with a smart red bow who debuted in the first game's Assignment DLC. We were already going to be happy to see a pet cat in The Evil Within, on account of how it isn't a shuddering nightmare creature who wants to murder us, but this one also saves your game for you, making it both invaluable and adorable.
Speaking of cats with awesome powers, there's also Dusty, the cat from Gravity Rush, which has a definite advantage over other cats in that it is able to grant you supernatural gravity abilities.
Dusty therefore combines world-changing cosmic power with the quality of also being super cute, which is pretty good for a weird pulsating cat made of galaxies. If you're going to worship cats, go for the ones with almighty cosmic powers, is my motto.
Assassin's Creed Origins comes out on release date 27 October 2017 on Xbox One, PS4 and PC.
