7 Famous Movie Moments Ruined in the Game Adaptations

Game adaptations of movies should be great, on account of them combining two of our favourite things. Sadly, most tie-in games are not only inferior to the movie on which they're based, but also seem to go out of their way to ruin iconic moments from those films. See for yourself in these seven famous movie moments that got a dramatic rewrite for the videogame version.

For example, one of the most iconic scenes in the entire Star Wars series is the climactic lightsaber duel between Luke Skywalker and Darth Vader in the Empire Strikes Back, which culminates in the unforgettable moment when Vader reveals that he is Luke's father.

In the Japanese Star Wars game on the NES, Luke's first encounters with Vader were somewhat undermined by the fact that Vader could transform into a giant scorpion. Guess they left that bit out of the Special Editions.
